Venus Retrograde and Neptune

Here we take a deeper look of Venus retrograde:

1. **3 August: Venus Under the Sun’s Beams:**

This refers to a phase when Venus becomes too close to the Sun’s position from our perspective on Earth. It starts to lose its visibility in the evening sky due to its proximity to the Sun. This phase is often associated with a waning of Venus’s influence as it approaches its retrograde period.

2. **13 August: Venus and the Sun Conjunction (Cazimi):**

This is a significant moment when Venus and the Sun align closely, referred to as being “in the heart of the Sun.” This is seen as a time of purification and renewal for Venus. The idea is that Venus is re-seeded and infused with new energy and intentions. It’s a powerful and transformative moment in the Venus retrograde cycle.

3. **23 August: Venus Emerges from the Sun’s Beams:**

As Venus moves away from its conjunction with the Sun, it becomes visible again in the morning sky before sunrise. This phase is often considered the rebirth of Venus as a morning star. It signifies a fresh start and a new phase of its journey.

4. **4 September: Venus Stations Direct in Leo:**

Venus stations direct, meaning it appears to halt its retrograde motion and begins moving forward in the zodiac again. The energy starts to shift from introspection and reevaluation (retrograde phase) to implementation and forward movement.

5. **9 October: Venus Moves into Virgo:**

Venus leaves the sign of Leo and enters Virgo. This marks the completion of the entire Venus retrograde story for that particular cycle. The themes and lessons of the retrograde period continue to unfold as Venus transitions into a new sign.

In addition, we also have Venus retrograde inconjunct Neptune. This concept emphasizes that individuals don’t need to constantly strive for happiness or positivity. It’s a reminder that human emotions are complex and multifaceted, and it’s okay not to feel good all the time.

Inconjunct aspects in astrology often signify a need for adjustment, and in the context of Venus retrograde and Neptune, this could suggest that there’s a need to find balance between idealized notions of happiness and the reality of human emotions.

This lesson is a valuable one, encouraging self-acceptance, emotional authenticity, and an understanding that it’s natural to experience a range of emotions, including challenges and discomfort. It’s also a reminder that personal growth often comes from facing and working through difficult emotions rather than constantly pursuing a facade of happiness.

This period can provide the lesson of universal message of self-compassion and acknowledging the full spectrum of human feelings.
